Science

All participating citizens in a democratic society should be scientifically literate. With the increasing role of technology in all elements of our society it is important that everyone have an understanding of the nature of science, how it works, and what it can and cannot do.

Our science curriculum is designed to encourage the student to become involved not only with the laws and theories of the various branches of science but also with the practical aspects of these sciences. The science teachers hope to make students aware of technological developments so that as adults they will have the background to make intelligent and responsible decisions.

Through stimulation of the thought process we hope to develop in the students at least a lifetime appreciation of science if not the incentive to take an active role in the future expansion of this knowledge.
